AWARE Fish Identification
The PADI Project Aware Fish Identification course helps you to answer the questions you ask yourself “What was that?”, the course is designed to teach you the basics so the next time your scuba diving you know the answer. You will find that recognising the different fish and creatures makes scuba diving more fun. We will teach you the main fish families and their characteristics to help you better decipher the species.
For example, a Butterfly fish in the Caribbean has a similar shape to a butterfly fish in Southeast Asia but their colours and markings may be different. If you know which family the fish belongs to it makes it much easier to look up the name of the local fish.
This one day course starts at 07:00 with pick up from you hotel (Lamai), with a short drive to the pier at Bophut or Bangrak. The boat leaves at 08:00 to Koh Tao or Sail Rock and we return to Koh Samui between 14:00 (Sail Rock) and 17:00 (Koh Tao)
